Terms of Service
These Terms govern your access to and use of Build Yourself. Please read them before creating an account or using the service.
Effective September 22, 2026
1. Agreement and eligibility
These Terms of Service are an agreement between you and Build Yourself. By creating an account, accepting these Terms, or using the service, you agree to these Terms and acknowledge the Privacy Policy.
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter this agreement. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. Accounts
You must provide accurate information, keep it current, protect your credentials, and promptly tell us about unauthorized account use. You are responsible for activity under your account except to the extent caused by Build Yourself.
You may not create an account for another person without authority or use another person’s account. We may require verification before allowing access to an account or completing a sensitive request.
3. The service
Build Yourself provides tools for workout planning, exercise tracking, nutrition tracking, progress history, notes, and AI-powered coaching. Features may vary by device, location, or service version.
We may add, remove, or modify features to maintain, secure, or improve the service. We do not promise that any feature or content will always be available.
4. Health and AI notice
Build Yourself provides general fitness and nutrition information for informational purposes. It is not a medical provider, and the service is not a substitute for diagnosis, treatment, or advice from a qualified healthcare professional.
AI-generated plans, estimates, and messages may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable for you. Do not rely on them for emergencies or medical decisions. Consider your health, experience, environment, and equipment before acting. Stop activity and seek appropriate help if you feel pain, illness, dizziness, or other concerning symptoms.
You remain responsible for deciding whether and how to use the information provided through the service.
5. Our service and your license
Build Yourself and its licensors own the service, including its software, design, branding, and content, except for content you submit. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the service for lawful personal purposes.
You may not copy, sell, rent, distribute, reverse engineer, interfere with, or create derivative works from the service except where applicable law does not allow that restriction.
6. Your content
You keep ownership of information and content you submit. You grant Build Yourself a limited, worldwide license to host, store, reproduce, process, transmit, and display that content only as needed to operate, secure, and improve the service, provide requested features, and comply with law.
You represent that you have the rights needed to submit your content and that our permitted use of it will not violate another person’s rights. Our handling of personal information is described in the Privacy Policy.
7. Acceptable use
You may not:
- Use the service unlawfully, fraudulently, or to harm, threaten, or exploit anyone.
- Access or attempt to access accounts, systems, or data without authorization.
- Introduce malware, disrupt the service, evade limits, or probe for vulnerabilities without written authorization.
- Use automated means to scrape or extract the service except as expressly allowed by us.
- Submit content that infringes rights or is illegal, deceptive, or abusive.
- Misrepresent AI output as professional medical advice or use the service for emergency response.
8. Third-party services
The service relies on or may link to third-party services, including OpenAI, Anthropic, DeepSeek, Google, and Apple. Third-party services are governed by their own terms and policies. Build Yourself is not responsible for third-party services that it does not control.
If you download the app from an app store, your use may also be subject to that store’s terms.
9. Changes, suspension, and termination
You may stop using the service at any time and may delete your account through the app or our account deletion page.
We may suspend or terminate access when reasonably necessary to protect the service or others, respond to legal requirements, address violations of these Terms, or discontinue the service. Where practical and legally permitted, we will provide notice.
We may update these Terms. We will update the effective date and provide additional notice when required. If an update requires new consent, the app will ask you to review and accept the updated documents before continuing.
10. Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available.” Build Yourself disclaims implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranty arising from course of dealing or usage of trade.
We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or accurate, or that any fitness, nutrition, or AI-generated result will meet your needs. Nothing in these Terms limits warranties or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Build Yourself will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, goodwill, or business interruption arising from or related to the service.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you. Build Yourself does not exclude or limit liability where doing so would be unlawful.
12. General terms and contact
If any provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. A delay in enforcing a provision is not a waiver. You may not transfer these Terms without our consent. We may transfer them in connection with a reorganization, financing, merger, sale, or operation of the service.
These Terms and the Privacy Policy form the agreement between you and Build Yourself regarding the service, unless a separate written agreement applies. Nothing here limits rights you have under mandatory consumer law.
Questions about these Terms can be sent to privacy@build-yourself.com.
